The pre-bookable attractions – Ice Cavern, Ice Rink, Ice Tiki Bar and Santa’s Grotto are ticketed and may be fully booked at peak times, so we strongly recommend you book ahead. You can enter the Ice Village site for free, soak up the festive atmosphere and our Christmas markets and only pay for the attractions you choose.

The Ice Cavern is a walk-through attraction  – entrance slots to the Ice Cavern are every 15 minutes, but you are welcome to stay inside for as long as you can handle the cold. The temperature inside is minus 10 degrees, so wrap up warm! The average dwell time is approximately 20 minutes.

Ice Tiki Bar is an brand new ice event for the Ice Village. Your ticket includes entrance and one Ice Cocktail at the bar. Bring your friends and start your night in the coolest way possible! Over 18’s only

Santa’s Grotto sessions last 20 minutes and includes Santa’s stories, a one-on-one chat with each child and a very special unique Grotto gift. Each session can accommodate a maximum of 15 children with up to two adults per child. *Please note entrance may be restricted to one adult per child during busy periods.

Ice Skating sessions last 50 minutes (please arrive 20 minutes in advance to get your skates on!). The Ice Rink is operated by Arena – please contact them directly for further information on the ice rink terms and conditions.

Outside food and drink is not permitted in the Ice Cavern and in Santas Grotto. We have a fantastic range of food and drink options available at the market stalls and bars.

Yes! All parents are welcome to photograph their child as they get to meet Santa.

The Ice Cavern and Ice Bar are kept very cold at -10 degrees – so wrap up warm!

We cannot guarantee entry if you arrive late for your allotted session, but speak with a steward and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please note: no refunds will be given for late arrival.

All of the stalls, bars and shops accept both cash and card. We accept all cards with the exception of American Express.

The Ice Rink has a cloakroom for bags and items not permitted onto the ice. The cost is £1 per locker.

Children aged 12 or under will not be admitted to the event unless accompanied by a person aged 16 years or older. Children must remain under the supervision of such person at all times.

No Children allowed in the Ice Tiki Bar. The Ice Tiki Bar offers a selection of delicious cocktails and mocktails, and if you’re feeling extra daring why not try one of the icy shots! 18+ only.

The Ice Village is wheelchair accessible. Please contact via the website contact form if you require specific access support.

Disabled parking is available at the Todd Street car park, a 4 minute walk from the Ice Village. Full details of off-site parking can be found by clicking here.

A number of toilet and disabled toilet facilities are available in the Corn Exchange and the surrounding areas.

• Laser devices
• Drones
• Any dangerous items that might be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety

Any person in possession of such items will be refused entry to the event and any article that might be used as a weapon, be deemed to be offensive or abusive, or compromise public safety will be confiscated and or reported to the police.

Photography and filming is welcome at Ice Village. There will be many exciting photo opportunities! Don’t forget to post on social media and tag us!
